The journey to authorship
Growing up in Edinburgh and the Lothians, surrounded by a rich heritage of storytelling, writing has always been a part of who I am. My early years in Spain further shaped that passion, offering a diverse cultural perspective that continues to influence the worlds I create today.
My fascination with romance, combined with a deep love for Asia, led to the creation of The Lotus and the Crown, the first book in my Royal Hearts series. That journey has since continued with the release of The Gilded Cage, as the series expands into a story of love, power, and identity on a global stage.
As an author, I’m drawn to stories that explore connection under pressure — whether through intimate romance, political tension, or darker psychological themes. With multiple projects in development, including new entries in the Royal Hearts series and ventures into thriller, my goal is to build stories that stay with readers long after the final page.
Balancing writing with my day job only strengthens my commitment. Every spare moment is an opportunity to create, refine, and push further — because storytelling isn’t just a passion, it’s the path I’ve chosen to follow.
My unique narrative voice
I’m drawn to stories where passion is shaped by power, set against vivid, far-reaching worlds where every choice carries consequence. My writing explores the tension between intimacy and control, placing deeply human characters within environments that test who they are and what they’re willing to become.
The Lotus and the Crown and The Gilded Cage reflect this through a fusion of royal romance and Asian-inspired settings, but my work continues to grow beyond a single genre. Alongside the Royal Hearts series, I’m developing darker, more psychological stories that explore identity, obsession, and the limits of the human mind.
At the core of my voice is atmosphere. I focus on the details that make a world feel lived in—the weight of silence in a throne room, the shift of power in a glance, the quiet intensity of a moment that changes everything. My aim is always the same: to fully transport the reader, bridging the familiar with the extraordinary.
